How to configure VoIP equipment?

Mobile phone

Almost all the modern mobile phones have the option of low cost Internet connection. There are some free applications that enable you to realize the connection. They are connected to the Internet either by WiFi or by GPRS, EDGE or UMTS. However, you must remember that GPRS, EDGE and UMTS do not have to be free of charge.

Please pay attention when filling in the phone account name and password (by default, it is the same as the account name). Attention! Your account name and password do not have to be the same as your phone account name and password. In order to change the password to the phone account or to add a new phone account, sign in to your account and go to "Phone accounts".


Android system


Android is a popular operating system in many various mobile phones. It enables to install many programs, including VoIP calling application. Presented below is a configuration of CsipSimple softphone, checked on Android.

Symbian System


Symbian is a mobile operatine system, especially for Nokia mobile phones. We recommend the Nimbuzz application.

iPhone


iPhone is a smartphone created by Apple Inc., and based on iOS operating system. We recommend the Fring application.

The easiest way to download the Fring program is from the AppStore in your mobile phone. You need to create an account to use this application. Choose New User and fill in the form.

It is also possible to download the Fring application from Apple website. You can find the link to this option on the Fring website:

After installing Fring application, choose SIP icon from Add-ons, and then choose Other. The next you need to do is to choose standard settings:

User ID: 'HaloNet account name'
Password: 'HaloNet account password'
Proxy: sip.halonet.pl

To make a call, please press Dialer.


Nokia E and N series


In Nokia E and N series models there is a possibility to configure SIP account. You can do it without any additional applications. We recommend you to follow the instructions.
