Virtual Branch Exchange - iPBX

Components and options of the virtual branch exchange:

Main number
It is a landline that is a base for the virtual branch exchange. The caller, after reaching the main number, can dial the extension number. As a result, the company that owns many numbers can show itself with only one, main number, whereas the client gains a fast and easy access to the right department of the company.

Extension number
It is a 3-digit number used while the connection is being forwarded. To forward a call to the right department or person, just dial the extension number, e.g., three last digits of the telephone number. You can define the extension numbers by yourself but they should match the following criteria:

- the extension number can consist of 3 digits only;
- the extension number can start from digits from 2 to 8 only.

Phone number and fax number
Each telephone stand can have not only the extension number but also the telephone number (landline). Then, it can be reached directly.

If you have the fax number within the virtual branch exchange, you can use the internet fax service. Another solution is a traditional fax device with a phone number linked to it.

Menu (IVR)
After listening to the greeting, the caller can choose a concrete department or person. This happens as a result of choosing a number, e.g. 1 - Administration, 2 - Commercial department. In this way, we can create a self-service secretary's office.

Voice message
The voice message is used in the Menu (IVR). The aim is to inform the client about who he or she called and also to enable them to reach the right department or person.

You can either prepare the voice message by yourself or use one of the voice messages recorded by professional speakers who collaborate with HaloNet. This greeting should have the following properties: wave file format, 16 bit PCM, 1 channel, 8000Hz, short silence at the beginning and in the end.
Samples of recordings of HaloNet speakers below (wave files):

woman's voice 1  woman's voice 1  man's voice 1  man's voice 2  man's voice 3

Calling tune
It appears while waiting for a connection. It has to have wave format (max. 10 min., 16 bit PCM, 1 channel, 8000Hz, short silence at the beginning and in the end) or it can be chosen from the offer below. Exemplary files (mp3) with calling tunes:

callingtune1  callingtune2  callingtune3

Queuing (IVR)
Queuing means the possibility of establishing the list of extension numbers that a caller can reach one after another. If one number is engaged or does not answer, the next free number from the list is dialed. You can join or leave the queue (the list of extension numbers) anytime.

Conditions (IVR)
Conditions mean the possibility of establishing different greetings for different lapses of time e.g. during the work hours and beyond work hours.

Call forwarding
This function makes it possible to forward a lasting conversation to another extension number directly or with previous announcement.

Making calls
For internal calls, dial a 3-digit extension number. For external calls, dial a target number (without 0 at the beginning).
